Marco De Angelis

Marco De Angelis was born in Rome (Italy) in 1955. He is cartoonist, illustrator, professional journalist, graphic designer. He published on 150 newspapers in Italy and abroad from ’75.

Some publications: Il Popolo, La Repubblica, Metropoli, (he was editor in these three newspapers), Il Messaggero, Il Mattino, Panorama, Grazia, I Gialli Mondadori, La Discussione  Lavorare, TP Trasporti Pubblici, L’Eco di San Gabriele, Shalom, Help!, ComicArt, Comix, the new editions of Il Travaso and Marc’Aurelio, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune,  Los Angeles Herald, Herald Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Tampa Tribune, Vancouver Sun, Institutional Investor, Courrier International, Le Monde, Nebelspalter, Yez, Eulenspiegel, Almanach Vermot, Fire, Fenamizah, etc.

He was also editor from Italy of the american magazine and web WittyWorld and now he is member of the central staff (editor in chief) of the humour monthly magazine online “Buduàr”.

The New York Times Syndicate and CartoonArts International distribute his editorial cartoons worldwide and he is also part of Cartoon Movement.

Illustrator for many children’s books for big publishers like Giunti, De Agostini, La Scuola, San Paolo, Lapis, European Language Institute (illustrations for 28 magazines distributed in 30 Countries, in 5 languages). He is also author of books: two books of his illustrations received important prizes.

He collaborated with several associations, companies and TV networks (RAI TV and Telemontecarlo), with graphic projects and illustrations (logos, editorial projects, posters, covers, etc.).

He won the Golden Palm in the International Salon of Humour in Bordighera 1997 and received other 100 international prizes: two Golden Date in Bordighera, two 1^st Prizes Council of Europe, 1^st Prize in Istanbul 1987 and 2016, 1^st Prize in Tehran, Krusevac, Olen, Pistoia, Dolo, Fano, Città di Castello, Pescara, Genova, etc. He was awarded also in Belgrade, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Skopje, Montreal, Ottawa, Galati, Ferrara and others. Member of many juries, his cartoons are exposed in many museums in the World.
